So you all remember how the anti-core peeps were going to be on 702 to complain about Core pricing 2 weeks ago. screw-all happened with that, as it turns out the segment got "cancelled."

Now all of a sudden the head of Core will be on 702 in half an hour to talk about apple?

I wonder if Core pay to advertise on 702? What happened to impartiality?

Call in peeps and let CORE have it!

Update 1: 10 mins before the show is due to air, CAB are invited to join the discussion! 10 mins prep time! wtf?

Update 2: Are you kidding me... CAB get to the studio and are told there's not enough space in the studio? They have to phone in instead???

ahhh.... Redi Deriko's page on the 702 Website has a big "test drive a mac" ad... wonder how fair this discussion is going to be?
 
the mighty mouse that came with my mac pro broke after a couple of months.... Try getting that sorted out without losing half a days work.
Thanks to core its just not worth getting a replacement mouse for a R40000 machine that's still under warranty.
Unfortunately I'm not in jhb right now but would be interested to know what was said on
Redi's show.
 
I would address this immediately with the station manager, Redi Direko and the holding company, Primedia Limited.

This is unacceptable practice and a clear indication that the consumer is not being taken seriously. If all as per above is correct, then they are clearly kowtowing (sp?) to the sponsors alone at the expense of the consumer.

If they do not address the above satisfactorily, they will be less one listener to their station (and I have been listening for years).
 
The host is appallingly biased in Core's favour.
 
someone needs to make sure that it is understood that Core are the distributors, AND are in the retail market!? this is unfair!

You don't diss the people who pay your salaries. What makes you believe that she is handling this in a biased manner?

Am unfortunately not able to listen to the show. Is anyone calling in and rasing these concerns.
 
you have go to be ****ing kidding me! calller Graham from Cape town is graham Gratehead, owner of Digicape (core supposed own a part of Digicape)

BUT BUT BUT

DIGICAPE then went and advertised on the 702 during the SHOW!! WTF
 
Graham was talking about the margins they get.

I hope CAB gets reseller ship seeing as Core is not Exclusive reseller.

She pitched Core softball after softball and even fielded a few questions on their behalf.

What a vacuum-head. Professes to be a "journalist" and then launches off on her own little agendas and tangents and biases. Never really questions the statements of the "guests" and often takes the views of those being interviewed as gospel. I doubt that she would be where she is without her aunties political connections.

I switch off during her time slot. I luuurve the times she is away as there is a stand-in who has a head and is "listenable" in her place.

But, tuned-in after reading this and could not believe the drivel.

Geeeez, 702 running the Mac/Apple promotion giving their "guest" core the floor to trash any conflicting opinion. The caller's not having time to be given airtime.

Just call the segment an "Advertorial" and shovel this turd into the bin where it belongs.!!!
 
Could someone who knows the saga of why CAB stopped selling Core stock please post it here? AFAIK it was something to do with Core wanting to take over the Sandton store.
I want to e-mail [email protected] the story.
